Weve done it! As well as being the leaders in aquarium technology, delivering world class aquarium exhibitory to the global attractions market, the ATL team has recently gained accreditation to the JOSCAR system. JOSCAR (Joint Supply Chain Accreditation Register) is a UK‑based supplier accreditation system operated by Hellios and used mainly in the defence, aerospace, and security sectors. JOSCAR accreditation and compliance is used to verify that suppliers meet industry, regulatory, and risk‑management requirements. JOSCAR facilitates major buying organisations to access validated supplier compliance information in one place. ATL operates in a diverse global marketplace and as ATL achieve JOSCAR accreditation this should provide us further benefits by increasing our visibility to the major players within the commercial defence industry sector.
For over 30 years we have been building specialised test tanks and industrial containments for use in many varied applications. We have provided tanks for nuclear and renewable energy modelling, testing safety critical aeronautical components for commercial aviation, navigation and deep sea exploration. More recently our tanks and systems have been used for climate data transmission using sea gliders and for testing air and sea drone based technology. ATL has been recently been selected by a UK based prime defence contractor to design and manufacture a large bespoke tank for model conditioning. The tank will be used to test naval equipment applications demonstrating ATL’s albeit small contribution in supporting a vital part of the nations security.
Farnborough International Airshow 2026 – Building new partnerships following our success in the defence sector.
The 2026 Farnborough International Airshow provided an excellent opportunity for our team to engage with industry leaders, strengthening existing relationships and exploring new opportunities within the defence and aerospace sectors.
Our attendance came at an exciting time for the business following the recent award of a significant defence contract and the achievement of JOSCAR accreditation. These milestones demonstrate ATL’s commitment to delivering high-quality products and services while meeting the rigorous standards expected throughout the UK defence supply chain.
During the exhibition we met with manufacturers, prime contractors, and technology partners to discuss current and future programmes, innovative solutions, and potential collaborative opportunities. The event highlighted the rapid pace of innovation across the sector, with particular emphasis on advanced manufacturing, sustainability, digital technologies and the need for resilient supply chain partners. ATL has demonstrable experience in all of these important aspects.
Achieving JOSCAR accreditation has focused ATL to work more closely with organisations across the defence community, providing assurance that our systems, processes, and governance meet recognised industry requirements. Combined with our recent contract award, this places us in a strong position to support both existing and new customers on future defence projects.
The conversations held throughout Farnborough reinforced the importance of collaboration, innovation, and trusted partnerships.
