Public Display Aquaria

The Company's major advances in glazing technology acrylic forming and display decoration have lead to a number of impressive achievements. These include Europe's largest glass viewing panels; the first acrylic tunnels in Europe and the first horizontal unsupported 360° acrylic viewing cylinder in the world. In addition ATL were responsible for the first tidal glazing project at the National Maritime Museum, Falmouth, Cornwall. This involved concept development, engineering, design and installation of the largest multi-laminate low iron glass panels ever used in a submerged application.

More recently ATL designed, manufactured and installed the world's first 'portable' public aquariums for Sea Life in Dresden and Nuremburg. Both of these projects included large demountable Ocean Displays equipped with walk through acrylic tunnels together with a multitude of smaller portable marine displays'

Aquarium designs generated using the latest CAD facilities range from individual tanks to fully integrated multi-display schemes for the leisure attraction market. Co-ordinated wet and dry decoration including geological replica rock faces can be provided to suit both the complex demands of the viewer and the biological habitat requirements of the displayed species.
