Macduff marine aquarium refurbishment

Completed by ATL in 1996 the Macduff Marine Aquarium in Aberdeenshire is one of the UK’s stand out aquarium attractions and one of very few that concentrates on the native marine life that can be found around the British Isles. The quality and diversity of displays makes this aquarium an educational gem with its open air central Kelp display being the real jewel in the crown. Where else can you watch giant Cod, Pollack, Coalfish, Haddock, Bass, Ling, Turbot and even Halibut all living together happily in one outstanding display?

ATL are delighted to have been appointed as the preferred supplier to provide replacement décor to the aquarium’s large stand-alone Deep Reef Display and new replica rock columns and pinnacles for the central Kelp Display. These additions are to be installed by local dive company Caldive Ltd. so as to avoid removing the very precious stock and drainage of the display. These marine aquarium refurbishment works were completed by the end of April 2013 and we’re sure they will further enhance an already stunning visitor experience.
