Other ProjectsATL have recently been appointed to undertake the manufacture and installation of aquatic displays for the new aquarium development at the Horniman Museum in Forest Hill, London. The project consists of 15 new displays all of which will be completed by November 2005 for a planned opening in Spring 2006.
In millennium year ATL provided all of the live displays for the then new Wildwalk @Bristol and were recently called upon again to design, manufacture and install a major new exhibit to the ground floor gallery of this remarkable attraction. This new tropical coral reef display is destined to become the first of its type in Europe to be equipped with a walk through acrylic tunnel and will form part of a major refurbishment programme which is scheduled to be complete by summer 2005. ATL is also directly involved in the provision of blown acrylic hemispheres for the gondola of a radical new hot air balloon designed to break the world altitude record which stands at 64,997 feet. The attempt is to be made by the Indian industrialist Vijaypat Singhania from Mumbai in November of this year and will require the gondola to overcome extremes of temperature and pressure as it ascends to a target altitude of 70,000 feet, that's more than 13 miles above the earth's surface. |
