Acrylic Fabrication

Acrylic has several advantages over glass all of which have led to its widespread use in aquariums since the 1980's.

By comparison it is absolutely clear rather than the green of glass, it can be readily thermo-formed, if scratched it can be polished back to perfection and in the larger thicknesses it is usually in a monolithic form rather than fabricated from multiple laminates.
